According to CEO Sammy Gyamfi, the regime aims to streamline and structure gold trading to optimize national benefits from the entire value chain of gold resources.¹ The Ghana Gold Board Act, 2025 (Act 1140), passed by Parliament on March 29, 2025, and assented to by the President on April 2, 2025, revokes all previous licenses issued by the Precious Minerals Marketing Company (PMMC) and the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources.
